Only the Lonely

My love works from home as a computer geek (yes thats his job, being a geek :P )

And when hes home i often think, boy would i love if hed work elsewhere, i could clean, cook and do my things without having to take care of him; Not have him stop me as I try to clean the bathroom to steal a kiss. Not have him close the tap as i try to fill up the sink to do the dishes so he can tell me an internet anecdote. Or not have him laugh out loud while i try tp put our kid down for a nap.

Yesterday he left for a two day business trip, and GOD am I lonely. I have nothing to do. I time to do 5 laundry loads yesterday, pretty much washing any cloth that fell under my hand. Today i might just launder the curtains.
My home has never been so quiet, i have TV on to feel like less of a looser. Im afraid i might start to watch Martha Stewart :S

Please come home to annoy me again Oli

The Martha Stewart Show

I used to be a huge Martha fan. Loved how she had great DIY's that were so simple and useful. But ever since i have seen her show, i can only fall alseep to her monotoneous, nasal voice. She makes crochet and knitting seem boring and makes cooking seem to be an art reserved to prissy old tax-evading ladies.

Needless to say, i am not a fan

Exploring unbeaten paths

Bear with the change between english and french, the mood dictates the language :)

To say I am an average person would be an overstatament, I am a stay at home mom. That makes me the woman in the background, the one whose actions and worries are deemed small, almost unimportant. I am no politician, no doctor, no important scientist. Humanity does not rest on my shoulders and although i would like to belive otherwise, the world wont stop turning if I catch a cold and am unable to function for a day. But perhaps, this is the most important position of all. The one that dictates the type of society ours will become after we no longer hold its reins but have passed them on to the future generations; The giver of morals, values and kisses.

To the average working Joe, reading about why i choose baking soda over a commercial oven cleaner might seem mundane, but to me its all in the details. I'm not sayingi I'll end up depolluting our waters and repatching the Ozone layer, but i still choose to care. Perhaps caring is the new unbeaten path. The one poeple no longer choose because, why bother, right? No one else does.

I do. Feel free to read my adventures as a stay at home who'd be willing to do anything that could have a positive influence on those around me.
